Burgos - Fromista 72km

After the city of Burgos the scenery changes. The vineyards of La Rioja are left behind us. The vegetation turns drier and the scenery gets hillier. The highland of Meseta starts. The landscape reminds me a bit of Tuscany in Italy with its hills and fields of grain.

Rain in the morning has made the paths very muddy so I decide to choose the Camino-route, which is recommended for the cyclists, out of Burgos. My guidebook mentions that it is “slightly longer”. During the day that “slightly” turns out to be nearly 10km. Oh well, let’s run for all money’s worth since I have come this far :)
