Najera - Burgos 91km

Leg runs differ quite a lot from traditional running races. After the day’s run you must also do all the daily chores starting from laundry. In this excursion I must also arrange a place to sleep.

There are plenty of inns meant for the hikers by the trail. These refugios, or albergues, as the Spanish call them, are hostels or inns kept by churches or voluntary organizations. They are located in old convents, school buildings or farms. For a small fee, the hiker can get a place to stay for the night, if there is room. In the last couple of years, private inns have also begun surfacing by the trail. The service level is better in these inns, but the ambiance cannot be compared to that of the ancient convent buildings.
